Terms and conditions
The competition begins on September 8 2022 and ends on September 11 2022.
This is a game of chance and the winner will be chosen randomly.
Entrants must sign up to The Moat’s mailing list at https://themoat.com.au/win-a-dinner-for-two-melbourne-writers-festival in order to validate their entry and must agree to receive marketing emails from The Moat.
Entrants can only enter in their own name. Entering under a false name(s) may invalidate all entries. Multiple entries under different names and/or different email addresses may also invalidate all entries.
Employees of The Moat are not eligible to enter.
The winner will be notified by email or phone and their name will be published on The Moat's website and/or social media channels. However, if the winner cannot be reached within five working days The Moat may redraw a new prize winner without liability to any person. The Moat reserves the right to contact the selected winner by other means.
The winner will receive a meal for two including food and beverage to the value of $250.00 (the prize) at The Moat.
Prior to receiving the prize, the winner may be required to show proof of identity, for example, their passport or driver’s license.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
The winner must book directly with The Moat via phone or email to redeem their prize.
Accepting a prize constitutes the winner’s consent to be photographed and/or interviewed by a representative of The Moat. The winner consents to use his or her name, photographs and/or interviews for competition or publicity purposes without compensation for an unlimited period including on The Moat’s website and social media channels.
Entry is only open to individuals who are 18 years or over on the date of entry who are residents in Australia.
Only one entry is allowed per person for the duration of the competition.
The prize may be delayed or cancelled due to COVID-19 related issues or restrictions (for example, but not limited to, government restrictions or orders and national, state or overseas border closures). If the prize cannot be redeemed due to such COVID-19 related issues or restrictions, The Moat may elect to provide, at their discretion, an alternative prize of equal value.
The prize must be redeemed by September 11 2023.
